God is with us.
Jesus of Nazareth is truly the Son of God and truly human. He entered history, sharing the human condition except for sin, so that we might see the loving face of the Father.
The name Jesus means God saves. The title Christ means the Anointed One. Jesus is Lord because He shares the same divine nature as the Father.
At its core is the mystery of the Passover.
Through his death and resurrection, Jesus conquered sin and death, opening a new path to life for humanity. He invites us to believe, repent, and follow him in loving service.
Suggested reading: Mark 8:27-35. After Peter's confession, Jesus taught his disciples about the path of the cross and the resurrection.
