Christ continues to act.
In the liturgy and sacraments, the Church celebrates the Paschal mystery. Through visible signs such as water, oil, bread, wine, words, and gestures, Christ bestows invisible grace.
The seven sacraments are: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Marriage.
Grace calls for a response.
The sacraments are not merely rituals of luck. God actively bestows grace, while the recipient is called to prepare, trust, and allow grace to bear fruit in their life.
What sacrament have I received? In what way is that sacrament inviting me to live a different life?
When attending a liturgical celebration, pay attention to a sign, a prayer, and a response from the congregation.
Lord, help me to participate in the liturgy with living faith and to allow your grace to renew my life.
