Aspirations that cannot be fulfilled by any limit.

Human beings have always questioned the origin, meaning, goodness, suffering, and ultimate purpose of their lives. The yearning for truth and happiness opens us to God, even though that yearning may be obscured by many factors.

Key point

Reason can recognize God in creation and in humanity, but we need Revelation to know God's plan of salvation and intimate life.

A history of covenants

God reveals himself through words and actions: He called Abraham, made a covenant with Israel, spoke through the prophets, and prepared the way for the Savior. Every stage points toward Jesus Christ.

Scripture

Suggested reading: Exodus 3:1-15. God called Moses, revealed his name, and sent him to deliver the people.

Reflection

What profound question about life is prompting me to seek God?

Practice

Write down a faith question you are carrying. Bring that question into your prayer time and find a mature person in faith to discuss it with.
