Central Mystery
Christianity professes that there is only one God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is not three deities, nor are they three roles played by one Person.
Each Person is fully God, of one nature, but truly distinct in their relationship: God the Father begets God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit proceeds in eternal communion.
Invited to communion
The Holy Trinity is not a problem to be solved. This mystery tells us that God is self-sacrificing love and invites humanity to participate in His life through Christ in the Holy Spirit.

Make the sign of the cross slowly at the beginning and end of each day, mindful that your entire life is placed in the name of the Holy Trinity.
