Life is sacred.
Every human life has dignity because it comes from God and is called to communion with Him. The deliberate killing of innocent people, direct abortion, and direct euthanasia go against the fundamental right to life.
Respect for life also requires caring for the sick, the disabled, the elderly, and the excluded; reducing pain and refusing excessive treatments that may be appropriate when not intended to cause death.
Take care of yourself and build peace.
We have a reasonable responsibility for our health, avoiding addiction, dangerous behaviors, and treating the body as a tool. Anger, hatred, bullying, and violence also need to be addressed at their root.
Peace is not just the absence of war, but a just order, respect for human rights, and the possibility of reconciliation. Protecting the innocent must go hand in hand with efforts to prevent conflict and limit violence.
Are my words, the content I share, or my silence hurting or isolating anyone?
If you witness bullying or a risk of self-harm, do not keep it a secret: stay with the person in danger and immediately report it to a trusted adult or appropriate emergency services.
