The sacraments open a door; they do not close the course

Mystagogy helps the newly initiated reflect on their sacramental experience, discover the Word of God more deeply, and participate in the life of the community. The Easter season is a privileged time, but growth continues throughout life.

Key point

The community must actively welcome neophytes. When the first emotions subside, the rhythm of Sunday, regular Reconciliation, daily prayer, continued learning, and a support group help faith take root.

Scripture

Suggested reading: Acts 2:42-47; Colossians 3:12-17. New life takes the form of learning, breaking bread, sharing, forgiving, and giving thanks.

A plan for the first 90 days

Do not make so many commitments that you become exhausted. Choose a regular Mass, a rhythm of prayer, a contact person, a suitable group or ministry, and a review date after three months.

Reflection

What might gradually draw me away from the community: my work schedule, shyness, family disagreement, a personal fall, or unrealistic expectations?

Practice

Write a 90-day plan with five specific rhythms and the person who will accompany you. If you are experiencing a crisis of faith, do not disappear: take the initiative to arrange a conversation.
